May 10th, the IDE Foundation is created. Founders: Mr Bernard Comby, President, Mr Jean Zermatten, Vice-President, Mr Jean-Pierre Rausis, Treasurer, Mrs Renate Winter, Mr Michel Lachat, members. Aims: to create a "Children's Rights" culture, to make Children's Rights known and promoted, to raise awareness among professionals and to inspire legislators. IDE develops its activities abroad and in Switzerland, on two axes: awareness-raising and training. Slogan: Raise awareness - Train - Act.


 First international seminar "The rights of the child: a beautiful declaration! Since then, 20 international seminars have been organised on topics related to "children's rights".

Linked to the programme with the Czech NGO Cesko-Britska. End of the programmes 2017. Mission to Senegal to evaluate the Juvenile Justice system. First continuing education module with the China Welfare Institute and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (Institute of Youth and Juvenile Studies). IDE conducts 4 modules for 25 professionals (police, prosecutors, judges, social workers and psychologists) in Algiers, from May 2014 to January 2015. External evaluation of IDE. Changes in relations with the Interfaculty Centre of the University of Geneva. CIDE becomes IDE's privileged partner for all training courses in Switzerland and abroad. Solid partnership with a positive impact on training, giving added value to participants. Implementation of a first CAS in children's rights delivered with the Centre de Formation Judiciaire in Dakar. The IDE carries out with CIDE and SHVR a research on "The child in Valais from 1815 to 2015. From Jean-Baptiste, the little goatherd to Ana Luisa, an interconnected teenager".

MOOC toujours actif à l’heure actuelle : https://www.coursera.org/learn/childrens-rights Parution de « L'enfant en Valais, de 1815 à 2015 » illustré, composé de 3 volumes, réalisé en collaboration avec la Société d'histoire du Valais romand. The IDE launches a MOOC for the Horn of Africa: "Through the Horn of Africa: Take Action for the Rights of the Child". IDE carries out for Terre des hommes a 4-day training for 45 customary chiefs of Burkina Faso (Tdh project, strengthening the links between formal and customary justice). Partnership with the Canton of Valais: highlighting achievements in the field of integration of children with disabilities, current needs of professionals, parents and children concerned. Final document addressed to the authorities...

2023

During all these years of activity, IDE has developed numerous trainings, delivered in Sion or abroad for more than 30 countries (e.g. Burma, Cameroon, Ukraine, Iran, Georgia, Tajikistan, Algeria, China...), mainly in juvenile justice, but also in other fields.
